Benfield and White Ridge Angus Herd Sires

Benfield Angus and White Ridge Angus are a family-run purebred operations with a combined 80 years of experience breeding maternally oriented, practical Angus cattle with muscle. We value and use performance records, EPD's and other evaluation tools available, however, selecting cattle is more than just reading numbers. In our quest for balanced trait cattle, we keep keen pressure on the necessary production traits of fertility, longevity, udder quality, disposition, structural soundness, production efficiency and fleshing ability. Consequently, we extensively research sires for use in our program with these important economic traits in mind. When we find one that meets our standards, we use him over a period of years so that his contribution is significant and the predictability of our cattle is improved.

The 19th Annual Headquarters for Hindquarters Bull Sale encompasses a powerful and impressive group of future herd bulls by the outstanding AI sires and herd bulls produced in our programs,Benfield Substance 8506, Benfield Reality 6211, WRA Mirror Image T10, WRA Vindicator W2 and WRA Whitley Z10. This sale also includes sons of Ginger Hill Treasure 129, APEX Windy 078, and a flush of full brothers by Cole Creek Full Bore 730.

These bulls represent decades of selection pressure to enhance balanced trait genetics that excel in a true grass environment. We emphasize maternal efficiency and functional traits to produce bulls that are fertile, moderate framed, easy keeping with calving ease and true muscle, the kind needed to build cow herds!
